Arches National Park
Ray and I knew we wanted to spend a few days in Moab Utah. Of course we wanted to visit Arches National Park, and also wanted to explore some mountain biking in the area as well. The most incredible hike we did, we actually started about 2 hours before sunrise, and had completely to ourselves, until the way back when we started seeing some other hikers. We’ve realized that even in the busiest national parks, sometimes, all you have to do to have the wilderness to yourself, is arrive at before dawn and start hiking long before sunrise, or sometimes even at sunrise. We have found that many of the places that would be packed for a sunset, are completely empty at dawn. (Click photos to view full size)
Some of our favorite hikes in Arches were, Delicate Arch, Devil’s Garden, and Double Arch. We also really enjoyed the Corona Arch Trail, outside of the park but still nearby where we were camping in Moab.
